Branko Hmelak, general manager of Alcad was declared Entrepreneur of the Year, chosen by weekly magazine Panorama. 

SLOVENSKA BISTRICA, November 25th 2013 - IT companies are becoming more and more recognized as business improvers, for making significant financial impact on companies. Its important part in economy is being nationally and locally recognised.

Branko Hmelak, general manager of Alcad has become, after a successful year, Entrepreneur of the Year, chosen by weekly magazine Panorama. A regional selection in which Panorama chooses the best businessman, covers regions Slovenska Bistrica, Makole, Oplotnica and Poljčane. Besides Branko, the jury chose Manager of the Year – this title belongs to Jernej Čokl, manager of Impol, and Tradesman of the Year to Franc Gajšek.

“The Title Entrepreneur of the Year means a lot to me, because it is an acknowledgement from local environment, but it is also a confirmation of hard work for entire Alcad team,“ said Branko Hmelak.

Branko Hmelak was also among this year’s winners for National Innovation prize awarded by the Chamber of Commerce Slovenia, namely in the field of E-commerce for cloud-computing in Alcloud. Furthermore, Alcad was awarded with prestigious Certificate of Excellence »Excellent SME Slovenia« by IBM for business excellence.
